“Healthcare Professionals” means Dr. Nabarun Deb, Dr. Sarmistha Nayak, and any other RCI-certified audiologists or staff employed by DEB’s Audiology.

“Online Hearing Test” means the self-administered online hearing test tool available on our website.


3. SCOPE OF SERVICES

3.1 Clinical Services Provided

DEB’s Audiology provides professional audiology services including:

  • Comprehensive hearing assessments and diagnostics
  • Hearing aid fitting, programming, and verification
  • Tinnitus evaluation and management
  • Balance and vestibular assessment
  • Aural rehabilitation and counseling
  • Hearing aid maintenance and repair coordination
  • Follow-up care and adjustments

All clinical services are provided by RCI-certified audiologists in accordance with professional standards and ethical guidelines.


3.2 Services NOT Provided

We do not:

  • Perform surgery or medical procedures (refer to ENT specialists)
  • Prescribe medications (healthcare professionals may recommend OTC options)
  • Diagnose or treat medical conditions outside audiology scope
  • Provide emergency medical services
  • Guarantee specific hearing outcomes or device performance
  • Offer remote prescribing of hearing aids without in-person assessment

For medical emergencies, call emergency services immediately.


3.3 Online Hearing Test

Important Limitations:

Our Online Hearing Test:

  • ✓ Provides basic hearing assessment (audiogram)
  • ✓ Offers educational information
  • ✓ Helps you decide if professional assessment is warranted

Our Online Hearing Test is NOT:

  • ❌ A diagnostic medical test
  • ❌ A substitute for professional assessment
  • ❌ Sufficient for hearing aid prescription
  • ❌ Medically supervised

4. PATIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

4.1 Accurate Information

You agree to:

  • Provide truthful and complete information
  • Update your contact and medical information promptly
  • Inform us of changes in medications or health conditions
  • Disclose relevant medical history honestly

Inaccurate information may affect the quality and safety of care provided.


4.2 Appointment Commitments

Scheduling:

  • Book appointments through authorized channels only
  • Arrive 10 minutes early for check-in
  • Bring required documents (ID, insurance, medical records)

Cancellations and No-Shows:

  • Provide 24 hours notice for cancellations when possible
  • 2nd consecutive no-show may result in appointment restrictions
  • Emergency situations will be considered on case-by-case basis

Late Arrivals:

  • Appointments may need to be rescheduled if more than 15 minutes late
  • Subject to availability on the same day

4.3 Treatment Compliance

You agree to:

  • Follow professional recommendations and instructions
  • Attend scheduled follow-up appointments
  • Report any problems or concerns promptly
  • Use hearing devices as instructed
  • Maintain hearing devices properly

Non-compliance may affect treatment outcomes and warranty coverage.


4.4 Payment Obligations

You are responsible for:

  • Payment of all services rendered
  • Timely settlement of invoices
  • Providing accurate billing information
  • Understanding your insurance coverage (we assist but do not guarantee coverage)

5. APPOINTMENT POLICIES

5.1 Booking and Confirmation

How to Book:

Confirmation:

  • You will receive SMS/email confirmation
  • Reminders sent 48 hours and 2 hours before appointment

  • No penalty for reasonable rescheduling with notice

5.3 Cancellations

Patient-Initiated:

  • No cancellation fees with 24 hours advance notice
  • Late cancellations are discouraged but understood in emergencies

Clinic-Initiated:

  • We may cancel due to emergency, illness, or unforeseen circumstances
  • You will be notified immediately and offered alternative appointment

5.4 Wait Times

We strive to see patients on time. However:

  • Complex cases may extend appointment times
  • Medical emergencies take priority
  • We appreciate your patience and understanding

If we are running more than 15 minutes late, we will inform you and offer the option to reschedule.


6. FEES, PAYMENTS, AND REFUNDS

6.1 Service Fees

Hearing Assessments:

  • Comprehensive assessment: Free for first-time patients (₹2,500 value)
  • Follow-up consultations: Included in lifetime care

Hearing Aids:

  • Pricing varies based on technology and features: ₹45,000 – ₹3,50,000
  • Includes: Initial fitting, Real Ear Measurement, follow-up care
  • Lifetime care: Unlimited adjustments, cleaning, programming updates

Other Services:

  • Detailed pricing available upon inquiry or on our website

Fees are subject to change. Current pricing available on our website or by inquiry.


6.2 Payment Methods

We Accept:

  • Cash
  • Credit/Debit cards
  • UPI payments
  • Net banking transfers
  • Payment installment plans (inquire for details)

Payment Processing: All card/online payments processed securely through authorized payment gateway providers.


6.3 Payment Terms

Due Upon Service:

  • Hearing assessments: Payment due at time of service (or free is case of special promotions for first-time patients)
  • Hearing aid purchase: Payment arrangements discussed during consultation
  • Additional services: Payment due at time of service

EMI Options: Available for hearing aid purchases. Inquire for details on partnering financial institutions and terms.

Late Payments: Outstanding balances may affect future appointment scheduling. Please contact us if you have payment difficulties.


6.4 Insurance

Insurance Assistance:

  • We help verify coverage and submit claims when applicable
  • Final coverage determination is between you and your insurance provider
  • You remain responsible for any amounts not covered

We do not guarantee insurance reimbursement.


6.5 Refund Policy

Hearing Aid Returns: Most hearing aid manufacturers offer trial periods:

  • Typically 30-60 days depending on manufacturer
  • Return conditions: Devices in good condition, not damaged
  • Restocking fees may apply per manufacturer policy
  • Refund processing: Within 7-14 business days

Service Refunds:

  • Comprehensive assessments: Generally non-refundable once services provided
  • Extraordinary circumstances considered on case-by-case basis

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
